Kirk Herbstreit drops two Big Ten teams out of his top 4 after Week 2

It was a rough week for the Big Ten when it comes to ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit’s top-four team rankings.
One week after having both Ohio State and Penn State in his final four, Herbie dropped both out of this week’s rankings.
Obviously, after the Buckeyes fell to Oklahoma, they were replaced in the top four by the Sooners, but despite a win against Pitt, the Nittany Lions fell out of the rankings, too, in favor of USC:

Though Penn State was in at No. 4 last week, Herbie dropped the Nittany Lions out of his rankings this week.
Still, though, he likes what James Franklin’s squad is doing and has them at No. 5, just ahead of Washington:

If Penn State keeps winning, it’s safe to say they’ll find their way into the top four soon. And, if the Buckeyes turn things around after a tough loss, they could make their way back into the mix as well.
