Kirk Herbstreit gave his top performing coaches of Week 8 following a full slate of games over the weekend.
After a couple of big wins, two B1G coaches found themselves on the list.

Penn State head coach James Franklin landed at No. 4 on the list after Penn State’s 45-17 routing of Minnesota on Saturday. The Golden Gophers have looked strong all season, but Franklin’s squad was too much for them Saturday.
The game was close in the first half, but Penn State had a 21-0 third quarter that led to the win.
Wisconsin head coach Jim Leonhard made Herbstreit’s list after the Badgers defeated Purdue 35-24. The win marked Leonhard’s best win since taking over as head coach as the Badgers look to shake off a rough start.
Badgers’ former head coach Paul Chryst was fired in early October.
