Kirk Herbstreit makes bold Nebraska prediction on College GameDay

Kirk Herbstreit is excited for college football. Perhaps too excited.

Nebraska takes on Northwestern today at 12:30 pm EST in Ireland. Prior to the game on College GameDay, Herbstreit named Nebraska as his pick to win the B1G West over Wisconsin, Purdue and Iowa.

Herbstreit said he feels there is no way a team such as Nebraska can have as much bad luck as it did last season. The Huskers finished last season 3-9, 1-8 in B1G play.

Herbstreit also predicted Nebraska would fall to Ohio State in the B1G championship game. While Nebraska is certainly projected to be better in 2022 under Texas transfer quarterback Casey Thompson, that’s quite the jump to make in just one season.

We’ll just have to see.
