Kirk Herbstreit names 2 B1G programs on list of top performing teams from Week 11

Kirk Herbstreit listed his top teams, individual performances and coaches from the previous week every Monday evening. And he’s compiled a pretty strong list following Week 11.
A pair of B1G teams made Herbstreit’s 7-team list: Michigan and Northwestern. Also included on his list are Mizzou, Georgia, UCF, Hawaii and Texas Tech.

These 2 teams earned different levels of wins this past week, but each were just as impressive given the circumstances. Michigan earned its first big win of the season, downing Penn State in a defensive battle. The Wolverines are still undefeated on the year after their affirming win.
With that in mind, it makes plenty of sense why the Wolverines cracked Herbstreit’s No. 1 spot.
Northwestern now sits at 5-5 on the season after an unlikely win over Wisconsin. The Wildcats have played sneaky good football in the past few weeks and could crawl all the way back to clinch bowl eligibility against Purdue this Saturday.
