What happened yesterday in the world of college football?

Well, Ohio State won “ugly” against Indiana, beating the Hoosiers 38-17, and Michigan destroyed Rutgers, 78-0. The Wolverines were up 71-0 before the Scarlet Knights had a first down and Michigan won the total yards battle, 600-39.

So, what does that mean for ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit’s rankings? Last week, the Buckeyes were No. 1, but after its lackluster performance, Urban Meyer’s group has slid down in the rankings.

The Wolverines did all they could this past week, but Washington apparently did more. The Huskies did beat Oregon, 70-21. Their offense has been on fire recently.

So, could the Wolverines be on the outside looking in at the College Football Playoff? There is still plenty of time for things to play themselves out.
