Kirk Herbstreit is impressed with what he saw out of Columbus Saturday.

ESPN’s college football analyst and former Ohio State quarterback congratulated No. 3 Michigan on the huge 45-23 win over No. 2 Ohio State in Ohio Stadium. Herbstreit went on to compliment Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh and his ability to get his players to focus on The Game with a chance to go to the B1G title game next Saturday.

The offense for Michigan accumulated 530 total yards with 278 of them coming from the passing game. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy completed 12-of-24 of his passes for 263 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Running back Donovan Edwards rushed for 216 yards and 2 touchdowns on 22 carries. His two touchdowns came down late in the fourth quarter of 75 yards and 85 yards to seal the game away.

Michigan has defeated its rival Ohio State for the second consecutive season to get into the B1G title game. The Wolverines are one win away from securing the College Football Playoff for the second time in program history.

No. 3 Michigan will face Purdue in the B1G title game.
