Kirk Herbstreit revealed what would have been Lee Corso’s headgear pick on Saturday since the college football analyst, who was feeling under the weather, was unable to make it to the weekend’s game between the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes and the No. 3 Oregon Ducks.

While not in attendance, it was still communicated that Corso was betting on the Buckeyes, who hold a special place in his heart, to pull off the victory on the road.

“I talked to coach this week. I said, ‘Coach, you have your hands full. You have your first love Ohio State, and your favorite mascot. Who would you pick?’” Kirk Herbstreit said on the morning broadcast. “Should I say? I’m going to say it right now. … He’s picking his first love, Ohio State. He’s picking his first love, his first love.”

This marks the second consecutive game that Corso, who has been surrounded by health concerns, has missed.

“Lee Corso, hoping he gets back with us very soon. I talked to LC this week. He wants to send his regards to his very good friend, the Duck,” fellow analyst Rece Davis said. “And the other thing, Pat, he’s got to be sorry and loving and seeing what this crowd’s about here at Oregon.”

Oregon and Ohio State are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Autzen Stadium.
