A new week, a new top four.

Every weekend, ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit reveals his top four teams, highlighting which squads he believes belong in the College Football Playoff. It tends to change frequently on a week-to-week basis, but Herbie is still pretty high on one team from the B1G.

Herbstreit still has Ohio State listed as his No. 1 team in college football, and it was pretty well backed up on Saturday in Columbus. The Buckeyes registered a 38-7 win over No. 13 Wisconsin, the toughest team OSU has played thus far.

With Oklahoma losing to Kansas State, it made the top four a bit clearer this week. Here’s who Herbstreit has in his top four:

  1. Ohio State (8-0)
  2. Alabama (8-0)
  3. LSU (8-0)
  4. Clemson (8-0)

Herbstreit also has Penn State (8-0) at the No. 5 spot and Florida (7-1) at No. 6.

Based on that, there’s a good chance the B1G could have two teams in the mix for the four sports when the College Football Playoff rankings come out in a little over a week. We’ll see how much things change next weekend.
