Kirk Herbstreit didn’t make any changes this week.

It was a rare November weekend in college football, with no teams inside the top 10 losing. Nobody played the role of playoff wrecker on Saturday, which likely means the rankings from the College Football Playoff committee on Tuesday will probably look a lot like last week.

At least near the top.

Saturday night, following Clemson’s win over Boston College, Herbstreit provided his updated top four, and the college football analyst didn’t have any changes from a week ago. He’s got Alabama in the top spot, followed by Clemson at No. 2. Herbie then has Notre Dame at No. 4 and Michigan rounding out the last spot.

Pretty uneventful, right?

But you can’t blame Herbstreit for not jostling the rankings after each of the top 10 teams pulled out a victory over the weekend. It’s been clear for most of the season that the teams currently in the top four have been the best all season long.

We’ll see if we have any chaos over the next two weeks and Herbstreit is forced to alter his top four in the future.
