The final weekend of the regular season is in the books. Now, we just have one Saturday remaining until we find out which four teams are in the College Football Playoff.
With a few teams in the top 10 taking hits this week, there’s sure to be some serious shakeups in all three of the major polls. Once Week 13 came to a close, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit released his new top four entering Championship Saturday.
Herbie has two SEC teams currently in the mix and a new B1G team on the outside looking in. The ESPN analyst has Alabama (No. 1), Clemson (No. 2), Notre Dame (No. 3) and Georgia (No. 4). On the outside looking in is Oklahoma (No. 5) and Ohio State (No. 6).

Georgia replaces Michigan, which had occupied that fourth spot over the last few weeks. Thanks to Ohio State’s 62-39 win on Saturday, the Buckeyes took a leap back into the picture.
While it feels like it may still be a bit of a longshot for Ohio State to occupy one of the top four spots, Alabama and Georgia will play each other in the SEC Championship, and the loser could be eliminated from one of the spots.
The Buckeyes would also probably need Oklahoma to lose to Texas in the Big XII title game.
But there’s still hope for Ohio State. And while the odds aren’t great, the Buckeyes still would have an opportunity to crack into the top four.
