We’ve got just one week of regular season action remaining in the college football season, and before we start discussing Rivalry Week, Kirk Herbstreit has released weekly top four.
There were some scares this weekend with some of the B1G’s top teams, with both Ohio State and Michigan being tested in trap games prior to next weekend’s showdown. The Buckeyes needed a late surge and overtime to knock off Maryland. Michigan overcame a halftime deficit to defeat Indiana.
Outside of the B1G, No. 9 West Virginia fell out of the College Football Playoff race after suffering a loss to Oklahoma State. Washington State made a loud statement with a 69-28 victory over Arizona.
How did that affect Herbstreit’s top four this week?
The ESPN college football analyst has kept the same top four over the last three weeks, with Alabama at No. 1, Clemson in the No. 2 spot and Notre Dame and Michigan rounding out the field at No. 3 and No. 4.
But Herbie did make a change to his top six. He still has Georgia at No. 5 but moved Washington State into the No. 6 spot.

That should make for an interesting final weekend of the season.
The winner of the Michigan-Ohio State game is headed to Indianapolis for a shot at the B1G title. Oklahoma and West Virginia go toe-to-toe, as will Washington and Washington State. Notre Dame travels to Los Angeles to take on USC.
It should be a fun final week of college football.
We’ll see if Herbstreit’s top four changes much after next weekend.
