Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins is having a phenomenal season, and he is beginning to stir up attention for the Heisman Trophy.
Haskins has been unbelievable through the first four games of the season, guiding the Buckeyes to a perfect 4-0 record. He proved to be clutch in the second half of the win over TCU, accounting for 344 yards passing and 3 total TDs in the game.
Through four games, Haskins has thrown for 1,194 yards and 16 TDs while rushing for another score. What makes his start even more impressive is a 75.7 completion percentage with just one interception so far on the year. He has been brutally efficient with Ohio State’s offense.
After his explosive four-game start to the season, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit was asked about Heisman talk surrounding the Buckeyes’ QB. Herbstreit indicated that Haskins is right there in terms of the conversation. He also agreed that Haskins could prove to be one of the “main guys” for the award with a big game against Penn State:
He’s right there already. If he goes off Saturday he’ll become one of main guys at this point. https://t.co/lcaLgQSTzq
