Kirk Herbstreit’s NFL venture for Amazon Prime continues to draw mixed reviews

Kirk Herbstreit is one of the most well-known voices in the world of college football. A longstanding piece of ESPN’s College GameDay show, Herbstreit is also known for traditionally calling the Saturday night prime time game on ABC.

For the 2022 season, Herbstreit is expanding his broadcasting duties and venturing into the realm of the NFL. He signed on as a part of the inaugural Thursday Night Football coverage for Amazon Prime and is calling games alongside Al Michaels.

Thursday’s game between the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals is now the third game of the season for both broadcasters working together. While some fans are enjoying Herbstreit in the NFL, others are still having a tough time adjusting to his call and the chemistry with Michaels.
