If you miss the NCAA Football video game, maybe the best remedy would be to tune into a Penn State game this year. KJ Hamler might be able to satisfy that craving.

During the first quarter of Friday night’s showdown between Penn State and Maryland, quarterback Sean Clifford hit Hamler on a crossing route that looked like it might be a short pickup. But Hamler took a hit from a defender an didn’t miss a step. He turned on the jets, put a few stutter steps on another Terrapins defender and got into the end zone.

The touchdown gave the Nittany Lions a 14-0 advantage on the road.

Earlier this week, Franklin told reporters that Hamler needed to get more touches. You see exactly why that’s the case.

Hamler entered Saturday’s game with 10 catches for 245 yards and two touchdowns. He can certainly be a difference maker with the ball in his hands.
