K.J. Hamler stepped up for the Denver Broncos in London with a pair of key plays.
Hamler, the former Penn State star, has had a slow start to the season with just 3 catches for 48 yards coming into Week 8. In London, Hamler was involved in the passing game and the ground game.
With Denver trailing by 3 late in the 4th, Russell Wilson connected with Hamler deep down the sideline for a 47-yard completion.

A few plays later, Hamler received the handoff on an end-around and gained 9 yards. The two plays by Hamler would set up an eventual 2-yard score from Latavius Murray to put the Broncos ahead with less than 2 minutes in regulation.

Denver would go on to win the game and improve to 3-5 on the season.
Hamler had an impressive career at Penn State, earning 2nd-team All-B1G honors in 2019. We’ll see if he gets worked into the offensive gameplan for the Broncos more moving forward.
