Kliff Kingsbury reportedly fired as Arizona Cardinals HC following 2022 season

Kliff Kingsbury and the Arizona Cardinals reportedly parted ways on Monday. This comes after Arizona finished with a 4-13 record in 2022.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news. Kinsgbury recently signed a contract extension to keep him as HC through the 2027 season.
Kingsbury became well known throughout the football world after coaching Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech from 2014-2016. Kingsbury remained as HC of the Red Raiders until becoming HC of the Cardinals in 2019.

Kingsbury took Arizona to one playoff game during his tenure. The Cardinals made to the NFC Wildcard last season before losing to the eventual Super Bowl Champion L.A. Rams. Kinsgbury posted a record of 28-37 while with the Cardinals.
The Cardinals struggled this season with star wideout DeAndre Hopkins missing time due to a PED suspension. QB Kyler Murray eventually suffered an ACL injury that ended his season.
The Arizona Cardinals have never had a head coach last longer than six seasons in their franchise history.
