Kofi Cockburn passes elite career milestone during B1G Tournament quarterfinals

Kofi Cockburn has been phenomenal since stepping on campus at Illinois. During Friday’s quarterfinal matchup vs. Indiana, he passed an impressive and elite career milestone.
Early in the second half, Cockburn officially passed the 1,500-point threshold for his career. Making that more impressive, Cockburn passed the mark in his third season with the program.

This season, Cockburn elevated his game to another level, averaging a double-double at 21 points and 10.6 rebounds. He is also a .597% shooter from the field for his career.
For now, the Illini are locked in a tight battle with Indiana in the quarterfinals of the B1G Tournament. Regardless of the outcome, Illinois will be in the NCAA Tournament, but Cockburn and company would love to add another B1G Tournament Championship to their record.
