LeBron James shares excitement for elite 2024 WR committed to Ohio State

LeBron James is known for being a loyal supporter of his home-state Ohio State Buckeyes. While King James doesn’t have the time to be a recruitnik like some fans, he does get excited seeing highlights of future Buckeyes.

James turned some heads on social media when he posted about Jeremiah Smith. Quoting a video of Smith highlights, James said he cannot wait to see the wideout sport the scarlet and gray.

Smith kept his acknowledgement of the basketball superstar simple.

Out of Chaminade-Madonna in Hollywood, Florida, Smith is listed at 6-3 and 198 pounds. Smith is rated 5-stars and the No. 1 overall recruit in the Class of 2024 on the 247Sports Composite.

Smith has been committed to Ohio State since December 2022, but his recruitment is closely being followed. While he maintains a verbal pledge to OSU, teams in the Sunshine State have been trying hard to keep Smith closer to home. Florida State is seen as the biggest threat to flip Smith’s commitment, while Florida and Miami have not given up on landing the prized prospect.

We’ll see if LeBron gets his wish of seeing Smith in scarlet and gray.
