London game between Michigan, Kentucky ‘up in the air,’ John Calipari says

The overseas basketball game between Michigan and Kentucky scheduled for December 2020 is currently “up in the air,” according to UK head coach John Calipari.
Michigan and Kentucky are scheduled to take part in a London basketball event on Dec. 6, 2020, with the two teams playing the neutral-site game as part of a three-game series. But Calipari says that, with the pandemic currently going on in the country and parts of Europe, whether or not the games will be played in London is now in question.
“It is up in the air right now,” Calipari said, according to 247Sports.com. “I say up in the air. Where is this going? We probably have until about June to make that decision. Do we do something that closer to us? It is being thought of.”
The two teams are scheduled to meet in 2021 and 2022 in on-campus games. The 2021 game will be played in Ann Arbor with the final game in the three-game series being played in Lexington.
Michigan finished the 2019-20 season with a 19-12 record. It was the first year under new head coach Juwan Howard.
