Serious injuries are a side of sports no one wants to see, and UCF QB McKenzie Milton sustained one of the worst injuries you will see Friday night.

The star of the Knights sustained what was reported to be a dislocated knee due to a hard hit and was taken to the hospital after being carted off the field. He reportedly underwent emergency surgery on the leg, apparently to restore circulation to the leg as it was cut off due to the injury.

As fans await more details on his condition, long-time NFL doctor David J. Chao shared his thoughts on the injury. He likened the injury as similar to the one sustained by Chicago Bears star Zach Miller:

This is certainly a scary situation that no fan wants to see. Hopefully Milton can pull through this and get back to doing what he loves. For now, the ultimate focus appears to be on the health of his leg.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Milton and his family as they face this ordeal.
