Former Michigan star Ben Gedeon had a lot of confidence in the Wolverines this past weekend. Unfortunately, that trust cost him.

On Wednesday, a photo surfaced of Gedeon — now a linebacker with the Minnesota Vikings — sporting a blue Penn State T-shirt while standing next to assistant athletic trainer Albert Padilla. It’s all because the Nittany Lions trounced the Wolverines last weekend.

It appears that Padilla — a Penn State alum — and Gedeon placed a bet on the game, forcing the loser to don the opposing school’s colors. And there has to be a picture that spreads on Twitter to make that moment even better.

Penn State knocked off Michigan 42-13 last weekend to improve to 7-0 on the season. The Wolverines are now 5-2.

Gedeon was a member of Michigan’s football program from 2013-2016 and was a key member of last year’s 10-win team. He recorded 103 stops and 15.5 tackles for loss in his senior season.

Gedeon was taken in the fourth-round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Vikings.
