This is a touching tribute to honor Jordan McNair.

The OL for the Terrapins passed away earlier this year after collapsing during team activities. It was a tough blow to the team, but Maryland is making sure to honor McNair in its home opener.

The Terrapins are taking on Temple at home after beginning the season 2-0 with wins over Texas at FedEx Field and on the road at Bowling Green. Following a tumultuous off-season, Maryland’s student section and the team itself honored the Fallen McNair with a moment of silence before kickoff.

Maryland Terrapins shared a photo of the student section holding up placards with McNair’s # 79 on it during the moment of silence:

Josh Stirn with 247 Sports also shared a photo of the team huddled around McNair’s # 79 painted on the field during the moment of silence:

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with McNair’s family. Hats off to Maryland for a classy tribute in the Terrapins home opener.
