The annual matchup between Nebraska and Iowa is a special one, and this year’s game will feature one impressive plane during the pregame flyover.

The Iowa-Nebraska rivalry goes all the way back to the 1890s, but it was not played consistently for stretches of the 19th century. However, the game has been played annually since 2011 between B1G foes and is a special rivalry for fans.

One thing that makes the rivalry neat is the title of “Heroes Game.” Winner of the game will take home the Heroes Trophy while two citizens will be honored prior to kickoff.

Hy-Vee, the sponsor of the annual contest, nominates one Iowa and one Nebraska citizen as “citizen heroes” for the contest. This year’s nominations are Justin Smith of Iowa and Brian Thurston of Nebraska. You can read about their nominations here, courtesy of Hy-Vee.

The 2018 contest will be played at Iowa, and the pregame flyover should be an impressive one. Iowa released a photo announcement Friday morning indicating a C-17 will provide the flyover.

It is one massive plane:

Kickoff is set for 12 pm EST on FOX.
