Last year, Marvel comics decided to start creating custom covers for the college football season, developing some really cool comic artwork for the biggest gridiron matchups.
That creativity was received so well that Marvel opted to develop more for the 2018 season. These drawings are just as incredible.
Some of the biggest matchups of Week 1 — Louisville-Alabama, Washington-Auburn, LSU-Miami and Oregon State-Ohio State — were all featured by Marvel.
Along with the custom covers, Marvel provided a side-by-side of the comic book cover responsible for the inspiration. This is some pretty cool stuff.

For the B1G and Ohio State fans, here’s a little closer look at the Oregon State-Ohio State cover, inspired by the Civil War II cover.
Hopefully Marvel keeps churning these covers out every single week.
