The University of Miami is known for a lot of things.
The players, the culture, the history, the NFL greats it has produced over the years — there are too many to name.
One of the newer traditions that started in 2017 is the Turnover Chain.
The chain has changed throughout the years and the 2019 version is even more outrageous than the previous versions. In order to wear the chain, a Hurricane player must forced a turnover — hence the name.
Here’s a look at the newest version:

Again, it’s pretty flashy. Some details on the 2019 version:
About the new #Miami Turnover Chain: It weighs 500 grams (half a kilogram), while the chain itself weighs two kilograms. The charm is 10 inches wide. There are more than 2,000 white sapphire stones in the ‘305’ charm. It took three months to complete.

That’s right, there are more than 2,000 white sapphire stones in it and the chain itself took three months to complete. Imagine if the chain eventually got lost? Miami might go nuts.
