When Peyton Manning walks into a room, people tend to listen.
That’s probably why Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald asked the two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback to address his Wildcats on Tuesday night. Or, in the words of Manning, he was asked to head to Evanston by his buddy Trevor Siemian – a former Northwestern QB and ex-teammate of Manning.

Considering Manning’s long and successful NFL career, he probably had plenty of great things to say to the Wildcats with the season almost here.
Fitzgerald and Manning actually competed against each other at the end of the 1996 season, when Northwestern battled Tennessee in the Citrus Bowl. The Volunteers bested the Wildcats 48-28.
