It’s August.

Later this month, the 2019 college football regular season begins. Before official games start, though, fall practices must take place.

During these camps, not everything is hunky-dory. Student-athletes are fighting for their chance at playing time, becoming a starter and potentially making a real difference. What can that all lead to?

A chance at millions of dollars and playing in the NFL. That’s all.

So again, fall camps aren’t filled with love and everybody getting along 100 percent of the time. At Northwestern, Pat Fitzgerald has a unique way of getting players to feel like teammates again after perhaps a slight squabble occurs.
