Special occasions call for special shoes. This Saturday, as Ohio State hosts Nebraska for a “Black Out” game, the Buckeyes will be sporting some new cleats.
The official Twitter account of Ohio State football tweeted out an image of the LeBron James Soldier XII cleat, which is what the Buckeyes will wear Saturday against the Huskers. The shoes are primarily black, matching the team’s uniforms for the weekend showdown.
James is a huge supporter of Ohio State football and the team has sported his Soldier cleat shoes for different games over the years.
Here’s a look at the shoe the Buckeyes will be donning Saturday.

Ohio State has sported all-black and all-gray looks in the past for specific home games. The uniforms and cleats have typically received strong reviews.
The Buckeyes enter Saturday’s matchup 7-1 and 4-1 in B1G play. They are coming off a bye week. Nebraska, on the other hand, is 2-6 with a 1-4 conference mark. The Huskers defeated Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.
Nebraska-Ohio State is scheduled for a noon kickoff.
