LOOK: Ohio State, Texas staffers engaged in Twitter war over recruits
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Texas and Ohio State are two of the nation’s top programs when it comes to landing recruits, along with SEC powers like Alabama and Georgia.
However, even the best of the best sometimes lower themselves into the mud and fight dirty. That was the case this week, as Texas director of recruiting Bryan Carrington, former Ohio State WR Brian Hartline and current Ohio State assistant WR coach Keenan Bailey engaged in a petty Twitter war.
As you can see in the tweet below from Carrington, he claimed all the best players in Texas go to the Longhorns:
The Best Players In The State Of Texas Come To Texas!🤘🏾#NuffSaid🗣#ThisIsTexas 🐂 #NoAttachments🤷🏾♂️
— Bryan Carrington (@CoachBC_) March 23, 2018
That prompted Hartline to join in, which then elicited a response from Carrington about what Ohio State players felt about former Buckeyes offensive coordinator Tom Herman, who is now Texas’s coach:

Then, Bailey got into the game, tweeting a picture of a trio of current Buckeyes — JK Dobbins, Baron Browning and Jeffery Okudah — all of whom were 5-star players from the state of Texas:
🤔🤷🏼♂️😴 Am I missing something, Hart?

That’s when Carrington pulled out the big guns, bashing Ohio State for not producing elite receivers and chastising Bailey for wanting to come to Texas:

Per FootballScoop.com, the beef likely started over 4-star Texas WR Garrett Wilson, who is considering both the Longhorns and the Buckeyes.
