This is a heart-warming gesture by the Temple Owls.

Maryland and Temple are squaring off Saturday as the Terrapins are looking to move to 3-0. It has been an impressive start for the team, and it has been even more impressive considering everything the team has been through this year.

Maryland OL Jordan McNair passed away earlier this year after collapsing during team conditioning. As a result, multiple investigations are still ongoing surrounding the football program while head coach D.J. Durkin remains on leave.

The team honored McNair with a touching tribute in the season-opening win against Texas, and Temple is also honoring McNair while facing the Terrapins on Saturday. Temple Football shared a photo of a helmet sticker that the Owls are wearing in the matchup.

The sticker is shaped like a heart and features “JM 79” outlined in gold within the heart:

Major props to Temple for finding a way to honor McNair, even in the midst of the game.
