Ohio State has a laundry list of former football stars that could be considered an “all-time great.” But there’s still one Buckeye who is probably considered the best of the best in the program’s history.
That former OSU star is two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin.
Griffin is a guy who will always be welcome on Ohio State’s campus and could probably take in a Buckeyes practice anytime he wanted. That’s exactly what he did on Tuesday.
Ohio State welcomed Griffin back to the field, where he got a chance to check in on the 2018 Buckeyes, especially those running backs.

It looked like Griffin was pleased with what he saw at practice, a good sign for Ohio State.
Griffin is the only two-time winner of the Heisman Trophy, taking home the award in 1974 and 1975. His No. 45 jersey has been retired by Ohio State, as well.
