The Wisconsin Badgers are Miami Hurricanes were supposed to do big things in 2018.
Both teams were ranked highly coming into the season, and now, neither team is ranked. Both teams were expected to at least flirt with the 10-win mark. Neither team got to eight. Both are 7-5 going into the bowl season.
With that, the two teams are matched up again this season — last year the two teams competed against each other in the Orange Bowl — in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. It is just another bowl game to many, however, the atmosphere is a bit different.
The game takes place at Yankee Stadium, which is cool enough. But both teams get a taste of the New York City experience this bowl season — which is something not many get to experience in a lifetime.
One cool perk came via the Empire State Building. We all know of this building, but at the top of it Wednesday night, the colors changed. Why?
For Wisconsin and Miami. The two teams play at 5:15 p.m. ET Thursday, and the night prior to the Big Ten-ACC clash, take a look at how the building looked:
It’s not the holiday season without bowl games!
In honor of the 2018 @PinStripeBowl at @yankeestadium, our tower will shine in red & white on the east/west sides for @BadgerFootball and green & orange on the north/south sides for @CanesFootball. 🏈
