A Michigan offensive lineman who transferred into the program in October 2020 is already looking for a new home.

Friday, Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News reported that offensive tackle Willie Allen has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. The news comes as the Wolverines conclude spring practice and begin looking ahead to the 2021 campaign after a 2-4 season last fall.

Allen entered the transfer portal in October and committed to Michigan just a few days after exploring his options. He did not play a snap for the Wolverines and will now be moving on to his fifth school.

Out of high school, Allen initially committed to LSU as a member of the 2016 recruiting class. In 2017, he moved on to Tyler Junior College in Texas and then committed to play at Louisiana Tech and made a quick impact during the 2019 campaign. He played in all 13 games as a starter and allowed just 2 sacks.

Michigan could’ve used Allen’s experience along the offensive line for the upcoming season, especially after losing Jalen Mayfield to the 2021 NFL Draft. But the depth up front has taken another hit.
