It’s official.

Jeff Brohm has been hired as Louisville’s next head coach. Brohm, who has been the head coach at Purdue since 2017, is heading back to where he played while in college.

Louisville’s Twitter account reported the hire was official Thursday afternoon.

Brohm is 66-44 across his college coaching career and led the Boilermakers to a B1G West division championship this season, falling to Michigan in the B1G Title game. He’ll take the vacant position that Scott Satterfield left when he took the open Cincinnati job.

Brohm also led Purdue to its first back-to-back seasons of at or better than 8-4 since 1997-98. Brian Brohm is expected to take over as interim head coach.

A flurry of other assistant coaches will be following Brohm to Louisville.
