Conducting his pregame interview prior to his team’s kickoff with UConn, Illinois Fighting Illini head coach offered an update on the status of redshirt senior RB Reggie Corbin.

A game-time decision, Corbin suffered the injury in the season-opening win over Akron. Limited to six carries in the game, he totaled 36 yards and a touchdown.

Corbin’s 1,722 career rushing yards are just 817 short of cracking Illinois’ all-time top-10 list.

If Corbin is unable to go or limited, look for junior Ra’Von Bonner to lead the rushing attack. Smith previously announced on Monday that junior Mike Epstein will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

Illinois vs. UConn from East Hartford, Connecticut will kick at 3:30PM ET and will be telecast on CBSSN.
