Luka Garza had an incredible final season at Iowa, but Garza is continuing to work incredibly hard to improve his stock ahead of the 2021 NBA Draft.
Garza recently posted an image of himself preparing for the NBA Combine which got plenty of attention. According to David Eickholt of 247Sports, the former Hawkeye star has lost 22 pounds and is in “the best shape of his life.”

Garza will go down as one of the greatest players in the history of Iowa basketball. He left the school as the men’s basketball all-time leading scorer and will have his number retired at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
At the end of the 2020-21 season, Garza was a first-team All-America and first-team All-B1G selection and was named the B1G and National Player of the Year. He finished the year averaging 24.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 blocks per contest. Garza also shot better than 55% from the floor for the year.
It will be interesting to see where Garza is selected in this year’s NBA Draft.
