Luke Fickell comments on USC rumors

When Clay Helton was fired at USC earlier this week, Luke Fickell’s name was one of the many names to pop up.
In fact, CBS Sports reporter Dennis Dodd is reporting the job is Fickell’s to turn down.
The Cincinnati coach addressed the rumors Tuesday in his weekly press conference. Let’s just say he didn’t go into detail.
Cincinnati's Luke Fickell said he knows "nothing" about the USC coaching search and being a top candidate.
"I barely talk to my own family during the season. So I wouldn't ever talk about it, nor would I even answer a phone call or anything like that."https://t.co/dur0Akp13m pic.twitter.com/FwCIqs45cj

“We can’t even talk about Indiana yet, huh,” Fickell said. “I know nothing. No, we know nothing. Look, I don’t talk to anybody — I barely talk to my own family during the season. So I wouldn’t ever talk about it, nor would I even answer a phone call or anything like that. So I know nothing, nor does it make me have interest. So it’s not a big deal. It’s nothing but distractions if people allow it to be. And for us, it can’t be.”
No. 8 Cincinnati faces Indiana this weekend, but there are sure to be plenty of storylines surrounding Fickell’s future as the season goes along.
