Luke Fickell contract details with Wisconsin revealed, per report

Luke Fickell’s contract details with Wisconsin have been revealed, per a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel. The former Cincinnati coach as officially introduced as Wisconsin’s next head coach Sunday afternoon.
According to Thamel, Fickell’s contract is set for 7 years with an average payout of $7.9 million per year. He recently agreed to a $5 million per year extension at Cincinnati that ran through 2028. Obviously, that is long gone. A recent report stated that the per year pay was hovering around $6 million.

Wisconsin is devoted to turning things around after a disappointing season in 2022. The Badgers finished their regular season slate at 6-6, just barely reaching a bowl game thanks to interim HC Jim Leonhard.
