First-year Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell joined SiriusXM College Sports Radio’s Jacob Hester and Bobby Carpenter to discuss what his focuses have been during fall camp.

“The No. 1 objective of camp was to figure out where we stood on a toughness scale,” Fickell said. “I’m talking mental, physical and emotional.”

Fickell comes to Madison after posting a 57-18 record with Cincinnati over 6 season. He led the Bearcats to 2 New Year’s Six Bowl games and now looks to carry the same success to Wisconsin. He and his coaching staff are preparing to change some of the culture within the program, as the Badgers will implore a more pass-heavy, faster-paced offense this season.

“We’re all new to each other,” Fickell said. “I wanted them to understand that there are some things that we really have to push to find out about them before we get in front of 80,000 and a couple million on TV.”
