Minnesota is taking a lead over Iowa into halftime on the road in Iowa City. Luke Loewe added a dramatic exclamation point to the first half with a late buzzer beater vs. the Hawkeyes.

On the final play of the half, Iowa tried to get a heave downcourt in time for one final shot. Loewe picked off that pass and was able to unleash a halfcourt heave at the buzzer. He banked it in off the glass for a 38-34 lead for the Gophers.

Loewe finished the half tied for the team lead with 11 points. He shot 4-for-5 from the floor as Minnesota shot an impressive 5-for-9 from 3-point range as a team. Payton Willis also scored 11 points for the Gophers.

On the other side, Iowa was led by Keegan Murray with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Unfortunately, the Hawkeyes shot 38.2% from the floor in a disappointing half on their home court.
