This weekend’s West Virginia-Oklahoma game has been postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak, the Sooners announced Wednesday afternoon.

OU will now pause team activities for the week in hopes of being able to play Baylor on Dec. 5.
Oklahoma is coming off a win over Oklahoma State last weekend.
According to Stadium’s Brett McMurphy, the Big 12 explored postponing that game due to a COVID-19 problem at Oklahoma as well.

Oklahoma also postponed the first two games of its college basketball season on Wednesday.
The Sooners are now 6-2 and have won five straight games since suffering early season losses to Kansas State and Iowa State. This is the first time Oklahoma has had a game impacted by COVID-19.
There have been numerous other cancelations and postponements across college football for this weekend, including a Thanksgiving matchup between Colorado State and Air Force.

Minnesota and Wisconsin’s game this weekend has also been canceled. It’s the fifth Big Ten game of the year to be impacted by COVID-19.
