Mike Woodson and his Indiana program have shown signs of growth during his two years at the helm. However, the Hoosiers will move into the first stages of life without superstar Trayce Jackson-Davis during the 2023-24 season.
One player that could be in the mix to help replace Jackson-Davis’ production is Oregon transfer center and former 5-star prospect Kel’el Ware. Ware was one of the top players in the country for the 2022 recruiting class before spending one season with the Ducks.
According to Jeff Rabjohns with Peegs.com, Ware completed an official visit with the Hoosiers as of Friday. Ware was expected to follow that up with a visit to Nate Oats’ Alabama squad, but Ware canceled that visit as of Saturday morning.

That cancellation is currently seen as good news for the Hoosiers. Ware has received transfer crystal ball predictions to Indiana per 247 Sports, so we’ll see if Woodson is able to land the key target this offseason.
Coming out of high school, the 7-footer was a 5-star recruit and the No. 7 player in the country per the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He appeared in 35 games as a true freshman and averaged 6.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 15.8 minutes per game.
