Malachi Coleman’s recruitment took a winding path. On Early Signing Day, Coleman officially revealed his final decision for his 2023 decision.

At the end of the day, Coleman announced he is staying true to Nebraska, committing once again to the Huskers and the staff of head coach Matt Rhule. Coleman is a 4-star prospect and the top player out of Nebraska for the cycle.
“We staying home, that’s for sure,” said Coleman. “We ain’t going nowhere.”

Coleman was originally committed to the Huskers but reopened his recruitment in December during the ongoing coaching change in Lincoln. He made a visit to Colorado with a late push from Deion Sanders’ program, but Coleman will stay with the Huskers.

During his announcement, Coleman said the plan at Nebraska is to master the receiver position but branch out from there during his career.

Coleman is listed at 6-foot-5 and 205 lbs. and was rated as the No. 2 ATH nationally for the cycle. He is also rated as the 84th overall prospect in the country.
