The Michigan women’s basketball team is the last B1G program left standing this March. The Wolverines head into the Elite 8 on Monday night as the conference’s last squad for both the men’s and women’s tournament.
On Monday night, the No. 3 seed Wolverines will take on No. 1 seed Louisville with a trip to Minneapolis hanging in the balance. No. 1 seeds South Carolina and Stanford have already secured their spot in the Final Four.
Michigan and Louisville are scheduled for a 9 p.m. ET tip-off on ESPN. Prior to that matchup, No. 2 UConn will take on No. 1 North Carolina State with the start time scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
To reach the Elite 8, Michigan knocked off No. 14 American (74-39), No. 11 Villanova (64-49) and No. 10 South Dakota (52-49). The Wolverines enter the game with a 25-6 record.
Michigan’s women’s basketball program has never reached the Final Four. This is also the first time the team has ever played in an Elite 8 game.
