Mario Buford is ready to make his college commitment.

Buford, a 4-star prospect in the class of 2024, will announcement his commitment on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT. Buford also named 7 finalists: Nebraska, Washington, Penn State, Arkansas, Michigan State, Oregon and Illinois.

He shared that news on Thursday morning:

Nebraska is the current favorite to land Buford’s commitment, according to 247Sports Crystal Ball projections. Seven different experts have predicted Buford will pick the Huskers, including director of football recruiting Steve Wiltfong.

Buford would be a huge pickup for the Huskers. He’s a 4-star prospect and the No. 327 overall player in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 28 cornerback and the No. 56 player from the state of Texas.

He attends DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds.

Nebraska has 7 commitments so far in the class of 2024. The group ranks No. 35 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
