The state of Ohio continues to be a focal point for Mark Dantonio and his coaching staff on the recruiting front.
Michigan State received a commitment from its second Ohio product on Sunday, this one coming from three-star cornerback Angelo Grose. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Mansfield prospect made his announcement official via Twitter.
“I would like to thank the whole Michigan State staff and the great visit and I am excited to announce that I am committed to Michigan State,” Grose wrote. He had just come off a visit to East Lansing.

Grose is hovering around the top 50 players out of Ohio and is ranked as the No. 114 cornerback in the 2020 class, per 247Sports. He’s the ninth player to commit to the Spartans, and is the fourth player to pledge in June.
Dantonio was able to steal an Ohio product out of the state earlier this month, as well. Three-star defensive end/linebacker Jeff Pietrowski gave his verbal commitment last week.
Michigan State’s 2020 class currently sits at 10th in the B1G and 59th nationally.
