Mark Dantonio updates status of senior WR Darrell Stewart Jr. for Pinstripe Bowl

Published:
Darrell Stewart Jr. hasn’t recorded a catch since Oct. 26 against Penn State, and his status for Friday’s Pinstripe Bowl is still unclear.
The senior receiver has had a productive career with the Spartans. He currently has 148 catches for over 1,600 yards and seven touchdowns.
This season, Stewart had 47 catches for 694 yards and four touchdowns before getting injured. Those numbers still rank second on the team behind Cody White. Stewart last recorded one catch and one kick return in the loss to Penn State.
On Thursday, head coach Mark Dantonio indicated Stewart did return to practice last week, but he remains a game-time decision:
Dantonio: "Darrell Stewart wants to play football, there's no question about that." Says he returned to practicing in pads last week and is a game-time decision.

Hopefully, Stewart is able to suit up for one more game with the Spartans. Friday’s kickoff is set for 3:20 pm EST on ESPN.
