Mark Whipple has turned in some big performances as the OC for Nebraska.
Nebraska football has failed to meet the expectations set at the beginning of the season as a team. Trey Palmer, 1 of several high-profile transfers that joined the Huskers this offseason, has not.
Palmer continues to be one of the B1G’s most dynamic playmakers entering the 2nd half of the 2022 season. Electing to leave LSU along with now-interim head coach Mickey Joseph, the junior pass-catcher has become a human highlight reel in Lincoln.
Offensive coordinator Mark Whipple has taken notice of Palmer’s success and is using it to his advantage. On Thursday, Whipple posted on Twitter his pitch to bring in more transfers and prospects for the upcoming season.
If Palmer can do it, why can’t another prospect?
Privileged to coach such a great group of guys.
Congrats to Trey on leading the nation in receiving yards!
Come be the next great Husker, we get our playmakers the ball! #GBR pic.twitter.com/bQW4xCeJr1

Palmer currently leads the nation in receiving yards (781) while ranking top-10 in receptions (47) and average yards per game (111.6). In 4 B1G appearances, Palmer has recorded at least 4 catches for 64 yards. His best game of the season came in Week 7 against Purdue when he hauled in 6 receptions for over 200 yards.
The Huskers return from their 2nd bye week to face No. 18 Illinois next Saturday at home. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. E.T.
