Marvin Harrison Jr. has had an outstanding year for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2023. Now, the wide receiver has been named one of 4 finalists for the Heisman Trophy, to be awarded Dec. 9 in New York City.

Harrison, a junior, picked up where he left off after a brilliant 2022 season. Through 12 games in 2023, he has totaled 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns on 67 catches, an average of 18.1 yards per reception. He is currently No. 9 in FBS in receiving yards, with his 14 scores putting him in a tie for 2nd place with 4 other players.

He broke the 100-yard plateau in 8 games, including an 8-catch, season-high 163-yard outing against Maryland on Oct. 7. Two weeks later, he brought in a career-best 11 catches for 162 yards.

Harrison is looking to become the 8th player in Ohio State history to win the Heisman and the 1st since quarterback Troy Smith brought home the award in 2006. The other finalists are all quarterbacks: LSU’s Jayden Daniels, Oregon’s Bo Nix, and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr.
