Harrison simply wanted his son to attend a school that would force him to be competitive.
“In high school, I said I wanted him to go to a school that’s very competitive and can bring the best out in him. I just like taking it one step at a time, and here he is,” said Harrison.
For Porter, he knew his son was special after seeing him play in high school. His son had 5 picks in two weeks.
“In high school there was one game where he had where he had 3 picks and one game where he had 2 picks. I was like man that was impressive. He’s been a corner ever since,” said Porter,
Harrison was also a star WR in college, still holding the 2nd-most receiving yards in Syracuse history. Now, his son is playing at that same elite level.
“It’s kind of surreal. You never think he’s gonna be on this level. If you watch week in and week out and see his determination to get better,” said Harrison. “You’re like, he’s doing everything he needs to do.”
